I adapted this simple recipe from the chicken rice recipe that my friend, Kak Alif, taught me whilst we were at university together. She was known as the best cook amongst all the Malaysian students. Learning to cook from her was such a privilege and most of her recipes were simple, approachable and affordable which suited our student life very well.
